being awarded by the Energy Medicine Association and is affiliated to the Institute of Complementary Medicine.
The Energy Medicine Association has been formed to act as an international umbrella organisation, providing guidelines and a professional body for a wide variety of practitioners who, whatever their chosen disciplines, follow the principles of energy medicine. The terms and conditions of the Association will give the public confidence in the practitioners registered with the Association and the Association's register will enable those seeking treatment of various kinds to trace a suitable practitioner.
Practitioners who can provide evidence of appropriate training and qualifications in their field/s, practice insurance (in those countries where this is obtainable) and who sign an agreement to follow the terms and conditions of registration with The Energy Medicine Association can apply for registration by contacting: drblaen@btinternet.com.
Currently, the public have a haphazard choice when searching for a practitioner who is appropriate for their particular symptoms and disease. All too often they can feel that they are not viewed holistically by a practitioner but merely given whatever type of medicine the practitioner is most familiar with. It is hoped that The Energy Medicine Association's breadth and the fact that its register embraces a wide range of expertise will enable the public to make an informed, confident choice of practitioner and encourage contact and shared information between practitioners. Practitioners will be encouraged to refer patients to other experts on the Association's register, where appropriate, knowing that they can be confident in the expertise and ethics of the practitioner they recommend. Co-operation between different disciplines will be encouraged, for the greater benefit of the patient/client. It is envisaged that such referral will be similar to that practised by hospital consultants.
